The FAOBMB Young Scientist Award is awarded only in the year in which a Congress is held. For 2021, two awards were given to highly qualified young scientists, one male and one female, from the FAOBMB region. The Young Scientist Awardees received the awards and presented their work at the 16th FAOBMB Congress, which took place on-line (based in Christchurch, New Zealand), 22-25 November June, 2021.
The next FAOBMB Young Scientist Awards will be presented in 2024 at the 26th IUBMB-17th FAOBMB Congress to be held in Melbourne, Australia, during 22-26 September, 2024.
A call for applications for this Award was made, with a closing date of 15 March 2024 (NOW CLOSED)
